Charlton Athletic officials have apologised after showing an image of the wrong person in a prematch tribute to the late Graham Moore.
There was a minute’s applause in memory of Moore before the game with Cardiff, which took place at The Valley on Saturday afternoon.

However, an image of Alan Campbell was shown on the stadium’s big screen, accompanied by the message ‘Graham Moore 1941-2016’.
Moore played alongside Campbell at Charlton during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He also played for Cardiff, Chelsea, Manchester United, Doncaster Rovers and Northampton Town.
The correct image was displayed and an apology read out at half-time. The family have also been apologised to personally. #cafc

Plenty of supporters were unimpressed at the error.

@CAFCofficial Pathetic & disrespectful to the family! Typical of #cafc under this toxic regime! We used to be a class act now we're a joke!
