Twitter reacts to Danny Welbeck’s late, late winner over Leicester

For all the talk about Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Alexis Sanchez, the man that made the most telling contribution was a man making his first appearance of the season.

Having surprisingly made the Arsenal bench, Danny Welbeck’s 94th-minute header was enough to grab a vital three points for Arsene Wenger’s side, reigniting their title challenge.

Unsurprisingly, Arsenal fans couldn’t hide their delight at his return.

Welbeck joined Arsenal from Manchester United, after manager Louis van Gaal deemed him to be surplus to requirements.

Arsenal fans were quick to remind United supporters of this point.
