City favourites for Sterling
Manchetser City have jumped to the front of the queue to sign Raheem Sterling this summer, report the Daily Mail.
The recently deposed champions are planning an overhaul after collapsing in the title race, and it’s thought they have their eyes on a number of young English stars.
City will apparently kick off the bidding for Sterling with a £45m offer, with Manchester United and Arsenal also keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.
Arsenal scout Lyon pair
Arsenal have stepped up their interest in Lyon stars Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir after sending a scout to watch the duo in action last weekend, according to the Daily Star.
Fekir scored the opening goal in a 1-1 draw with Bordeaux – taking the playmaker’s tally to 12 for the season – while Lacazette is Ligue 1’s top scorer with 27 strikes.
The forward has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, with Arsenal having to pay up to £60m to bag the pair.
Schneiderlin price tag set
Another player on Arsenal’s radar is Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who tried to force an exit from the South Coast club last summer.
Saints are apparently willing to let the France international leave for the right price, which is believed to be around £25m.
Former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is also thought to be keen on Schneiderlin, possibly prompting a north London tug-of-war for the 25-year-old.
