David Haye’s next opponent is yet to be announced, but another of the fights on the bill for his O2 Arena return has been confirmed.
‘Smokin’ Joe Mullender will take on Lee ‘Banjo’ Markham for the English middleweight title in an all-Essex bout.
Mullender, who dropped down to middleweight in 2015, has an 9-1 career record with his last victory coming over fellow Brit Ben Davies on October.
Markham, whose last victory came over Dan Blackwell at super middleweight, has seven knockouts on his 15-3-1 record.
After scoring a first-round knockout against Mark de Mori in his comeback fight, Haye will take top billing on May 21 at the O2.
“I’m intent on securing an undercard with event more quality match-ups and what better way to start than with an English title fight featuring two fantastic prospects,” the heavyweight said.
