Louis van Gaal may not have got everything right at Manchester United, but he certainly knows the importance of sticking it to Liverpool in one of the club’s biggest rivalries.
After the two clubs were drawn against each other in the Europa League last 16, Jurgen Klopp should be worried by his counterpart’s impressive record in the fixture.
Van Gaal has overseen back-to-back victories against the Reds this season, with United following a 3-1 triumph at Old Trafford early in the campaign with a 1-0 win at Anfield in January.
But the Dutchman’s perfect record extends all the way back to his arrival in England – with United winning all four of his games in charge against Liverpool so far, boasting a goal difference of 8 to 2.
