David Beckham has a ridiculously audacious plan for his MLS franchise

David Beckham hopes to sign Lionel Messi for his MLS franchise – despite the fact his team don’t even have a stadium yet.

The Miami franchise is part of the North American league’s expansion, which will eventually see the number of teams grow from 20 to 24, and they hope to be competing in time for the 2017 season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, out of contract this summer with PSG, is another marquee signing who Beckham has reportedly targeted for his franchise.

That one seems a little more likely, at least in the short-term.
