The German is in pole position
Thomas Tuchel is in talks with the FA to become the next England manager, as per reports from Sky Sports.
The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager is currently without a club and, despite being linked with Manchester United, is in pole position for the England job.
The 51-year-old left Bayern at the end of last season being replaced with Belgian Vincent Kompany.
Meanwhile, England continue to look for a successor for Gareth Southgate who led England to two Euro finals.
Lee Carsley has been interim manager in the meantime, but the FA seem to have settled on a more experienced permanent choice.
Talks continue.
