The struggle was real.
For some single people (and some not so single people operating anonymously), Tinder can be as addictive as Twitter, Facebook or any social media app.
Even if one has no interest in finding a match, casually checking out available singles in your area is an entertaining enough way of passing a few hours.
On Monday night, the app encountered difficulties for a brief period as users were unable to log in or access their matches.
We're experiencing some issues at the moment. Some users might not be able to log in. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Wait… How can I celebrate my birthday by drinking beers and swiping through tinder if it's down. #tinderdown

The app returned to normal again shortly afterwards, which is just as well.
For a minute there we thought we might have to actually talk to somebody again in an effort to secure a date.
