Costa del sold?
Diego Costa could be ready to turn his back on the Premier League after just one year.
According to the Independent, citing reports out of Spain, the Chelsea striker has failed to settle in London and is keen on a return to former club Atletico Madrid.
Costa top-scored for the Premier League champions last season with 20 league goals, but is thought to be less than impressed by the British weather.
Perhaps the upcoming heatwave will convince him to change his mind…
Liverpool ready to break the bank for Milner
Brendan Rodgers’ side look to be leading the chase for England midfielder James Milner, who is out of contract at Manchester City.
The Guardian, among others, reports that the 29-year-old will pass up on the option of a new deal with City to join the Anfield club.
Reports suggest Milner could be offered close to £150,000 per week, making him the club’s highest-paid player.
That’s also the figure which reportedly proved a sticking point in negotiations with Raheem Sterling, a younger and arguably more valuable player…but that’s none of our business.
Tottenham and Liverpool playing chicken over Kiev star
Dynamo Kiev forward Andriy Yarmolenko could be the next big-money arrival in the Premier League, with Spurs and Liverpool both believed to be interested.
The Daily Mail suggests the Ukraine international, who expects to leave his home country this summer, would cost in the region of £20m.
He could prove popular at Anfield after impressing in Dynamo’s 5-2 demolition of Everton last season.
