Transfer Gossip: Arsenal preparing £25m Kondogbia bid…

Tom Victor

Arsenal to break the bank in Monaco

Arsenal are prepared to part with £25m for French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who helped eliminate the Gunners from the Champions League this season.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring in Monaco’s 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium, and the Independent report that he could move to London if Arsenal miss out on fellow France international Morgan Schneiderlin.

Schneiderlin seems certain to leave Southampton this summer, however Manchester United is emerging as his preferred destination.

Dante infers no

United are also keen to add some experience to their defence with the signing of Bayern Munich’s Dante.

However, according to the Daily Star, the Brazil international has no plans to leave Germany despite no longer being an automatic pick for the Bundesliga champions.

He claims to have a greater shot at silverware with Bayern, and who are we to disagree?

With David De Gea’s exit all but confirmed, Manchester United are setting their sights on a replacement for the Spanish shot-stopper.

Uruguay number one Fernando Muslera could be the man to fill that gap, according to Metro, however Louis van Gaal faces competition for the Galatasaray keeper.

Arsenal are also thought to be interested in the 28-year-old, as uncertainty remains over Arsene Wenger’s faith in Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina.
