The old video games in your attic could be worth a small fortune

How much?!

JOE

Time spent playing video games is never wasted, despite what anyone else says.

And the video games you’ve accumulated on Nintendo 64, PlayStation and Game Boy consoles over the years could now be worth an absolute fortune.

Here’s a breakdown of which games from popular ’90s and ’00s consoles are now worth (a lot more than) their weight in gold, based on valuations by retro gaming experts Racketboy.com.

If it’s the right version, and if it’s sealed in its original box, you could make a mint.

Game Boy:

Trip World: Up to £900

Amazing Tater: Up to £550

Trip’s Adventure: Up to £400-500

Resident Evil Gaiden: Up to £300

PlayStation:

Elemental Gearbolt: Assassin’s Case: Around £1,000.

Some of these games are incredibly rare, but there’s a very real chance you might have some of them in a cupboard, attic or basement. It’s definitely worth having a look.

Even if you don’t have any of these high value games, there are a number of retro games which are still worth a pretty penny, so if you have a collection of Nintendo 64, Sega Mega Drive, or PlayStation games sitting around doing nothing, it’s worth getting them valued.
