You’d expect a local newspaper to make a big deal out of the fact that one of the most famous men in the world paid a visit to the area.
Not the West Highland Free Press. No sir.
Instead, the Scottish paper carried the following snippet about Kanye West’s stay in Skye last week while filming a promo for his new single ‘Waves’.

Good to hear though that Kanye – “well known for his hip-hop, his outspoken opinions, and his marriage to a woman who gained notoriety for a sex tape” – was the “perfect guest”, and that he’s welcome back in the future if he so desires.
Paul Wood, the newspaper group’s MD, later explained the understated reportage afforded Yeezy:
I guarantee @WHFP1 readers when a Kanye visit to Skye fixes broadband, phone signals, potholes and a direct air link, we'll be all over it.

Well, at the very least, Skye could be somewhere Kanye could move to if he ever cares to escape the limelight…
