Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
But not even the most blushing of Manchester United fan can claim any originality over the new Marcus Rashford chant.
Naturally the club wants to celebrate their latest striking sensation and his incredible run of goal scoring form since breaking into the team at the start of the year,
However, Â the new chant debuted last week has struck something in our brains.

Yes, you’re correct; it is a total rip off of Liverpool fans’ ode to Luis Suarez from about two years ago.
Granted, the Man United version may have better lyrics (and they both are just nicked from Depeche Mode) but for fans that have seen the video, well, the cringe is strong in this one.

The biggest issue is not the quality of singing, but the fact that Liverpool fans got there first with the Depeche Mode mash-up.

Sorry, not having copying the scousers' Suarez song for Rashford. The lad deserves much, much better.

Although to be fair, someone has put a bit work into the lyrics.
