It might well be lost on many football supporters, but to some Manchester United fans, April 25 is a date they’ve been waiting for for some time.
Not only does it mark 26 years since their fiercest rivals, Liverpool, last won a league title, but it also means that the Merseysiders’ wait to be champions of England has now officially lasted longer than the run that United went without league success between 1967 and 1993.
Unsurprisingly, United supporters are having no trouble reminding their Liverpool counterparts of their club’s new unwanted achievement…

Today marks 26 years since Liverpool last won the premiership. They had 18 at that time & United had 7. Today they have 18, and we have 20.
