Liverpool target Falcao
He might have been a dud at Manchester United, but that apparently hasn’t put Liverpool off pursuing a move for Radamel Falcao this summer.
The Colombian striker scored just four goals during his spell at Old Trafford and is now searching for a new club after Louis van Gaal decided against a permanent deal.
Chelsea are thought to be interested, but Brendan Rodgers reportedly hopes to steal a march on Jose Mourinho in what could prove to be another terrible mistake in the transfer market.
United close to Firmino deal
It seems it’s only a matter of time before Roberto Firmino completes his switch to Manchester United, with a £13m move the talk of Friday’s papers.
The playmaker is currently on international duty at the Copa America, and has been tipped to star for Brazil after enjoying an impressive season in Germany with Hoffenheim.
The 23-year-old scored seven goals and claimed ten assists in 33 Bundesliga matches, hinting at the impact he could have at Old Trafford.
Madrid push on with De Gea move
According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid want to force through a deal for David de Gea before Rafa Benitez’s squad depart for a tour of Australia next month.
De Gea is thought to be keen on a return to Spain, but Manchester United are likely to want more than Real’s £20m opening offer.
Petr Cech and Ajax stopper Jasper Cillessen have been linked as possible replacements for the 24-year-old.
