Louis van Gaal’s cool look at Norwich was the inspiration for some classic p*sstaking

Looking good, feeling good

Man United’s 1-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday kept their Champions League ambitions alive, but a lot of the attention was on Louis van Gaal’s decision to rock a pair of shades in the dugout.

The Dutchman came prepared for the Norfolk sunshine, clearly unhappy that managers such as Quique Sánchez Flores seem to trump him in conversations about style.

Carrow Road was lit up in bright sunshine for the entirety of the game, so nobody could say the United manager wasn’t justified in his decision to wear sunglasses. It just so happened that every time a camera lens landed on him it looked like he was posing for a catalogue.

It’s not totally clear what brand of eyewear LVG prefers, but you can’t deny that he wears them well. They certainly make for a better accessory than that f*cking clipboard anyway.

Here’s the best internet reaction to Louis’ sunnies. It’s probably fair to call it…mixed.

He does not look like a man worried about the security of his job.
