Snapchat is probably a feature of most people’s days by now, and love it or hate it, it’s going to be around for a while.
One thing that a lot of people have trouble with is zooming in and out, because you have to do it with two hands.
It’s a skill.
i can zoom in and out real fast on snapchat. hire me to do cinematography

However, it looks like Snapchat has given iPhone users the gift of the one-handed zoom in their latest update.
All you have to do is make sure that your phone has updated to Version 9.3 or later on the app.
Tap and hold on the circular shutter button to start recording and drag your finger up and away to zoom in, or down and towards the capture button to zoom out.
Capturing zooms in and out in real time.
What a time to be alive, folks.

Today in #UX news, @Snapchat has done away with pinch-to-zoom while recording video. Smart pic.twitter.com/j9i8t2qxyV

SUCH a smart design tweak — zooming in @Snapchat just got infinitely easier. slide finger up to zoom in, down to zoom out. lift to end rec.

@lizadixon On Android, Snapchat zoom seems to be only on outward cam, not selfie cam. Is it same with ios? Android chg log says nothing.
