Manchester United ‘make offer to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’

The same journalist that broke the Anthony Martial news

Manchester United have offered Zlatan Ibrahimovic a one-year contract, according to reports in France.

RMC Sport are reporting that the Swede has been approach by Old Trafford about signing on with the club for one year with another year’s option.

Mohamed Bohafsi, the same journalist who broke the news at the end of last August that United were about to sign a once unheard of teenager called Anthony Martial, is claiming that Ibrahimovic could be the next signing.

Before United splashed the cash on Martial last summer, it was Bouhafsi who was first reporting about the club’s interest, the medical and the subsequent fee.

Now, it seems that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is being lined up for a much more cost-effective transfer price, considering the PSG striker is a free agent in the summer.

However, the 34-year-old wants clarity over the future of Manchester United and over who will take charge of the team next season.

“Manchester Untied have accelerated the negotiations with the Swedish giant, who is a priority of the transfer window,” RMC Sport report [translated].

“The project appears feasible in view of the significant funds available to the Reds and the huge sums that will come with TV rights.

“Reportedly, the English club has submitted a contract offer of a season, plus an option of another year. Man United appears as the only club able to match the salary of Ibra, almost 15 million per year for PSG.”
