Wayne Rooney filmed chanting his own name as Manchester United celebrated FA Cup victory

He was loving it

It was a long and largely depressing season for Manchester United.

But after the LVG “philosophy” clicked (for what would end up being the final time) at Wembley to give them their first FA Cup in 12 years, it’s no surprise that the players wanted to get well and truly on it to celebrate.

They certainly did that. A video obtained by The Mirror shows a group of United players having a rowdy sing-along that would make Red Devils fans proud.

The clip starts off with a nostalgic tribute to The Baby-faced Assassin Ole Gunnar Solskjær, where the England and United captain Wayne Rooney can be seen waving the cup around like an over-excited schoolboy as they all sing “Please don’t take my Solskjaer away”.

After a while it cuts to Wazza giving his teammates a speech, before he launches into a pretty good rendition of his own chant.

It’s not often that we get to see players belt out the songs that fans sing for them on the terraces, so stuff like this is always great to see.

Everyone watching will hope that Rooney is able to get his hands on another trophy this summer – then we’ll all be joining in.

WAZZA.
