Saying it’s only day three, we’ve already been treated to some eye-catching Euro 2016 goals.
On Friday night it was Dimitri Payet’s late winner; on Saturday it was Eric Dier’s thumping free-kick against Russia. And on Sunday afternoon, Luke Modrić got in on the act.
Five minutes from half-time in Croatia’s opener with Turkey at the Parc des Princes in Paris, the Real Madrid midfielder put his country ahead with a superb dipping volley.
Should the goalkeeper have done better? Yep. But let’s not take anything away from the quality of the strike. Controlling a volley like that is far from easy. How many of us would have ballooned it into row z?

Modrić was instantly mobbed by his teammates and an equally enthusiastic Croatian fan.
