It’s a shame we won’t get to see more of AC Milan’s gorgeous third jersey next season

We'll take it!

Third kits are chances for teams to get a bit more creative.

They don’t have to stay too faithful to a colour scheme or traditional design as is often the case with home and away iterations.

It’s rare that you actually get to see a side’s third kit and it’s usually worn more as a marketing tool to entice fans to buy one than out of any real necessity.

They often rely on bright colours and gimmicks, but Italian sides next season have really made an effort to make their alternate kits worth wearing. Juventus have already chipped in with a stylish, zebra-inspired strip, and now Milan have come out with a solid effort.

In all honesty, we’ll be lucky to see Milan’s third shirt more than a handful of times next season which is a crying shame when you consider its pulchritude… that’s fancy talk for beautiful.

The Rossoneri have gone for a bold, yet simultaneously jazzy design, with an all-black torso fading into white sleeves in a style that looks as though it’s been spraypainted on.

Red trim on the sleeves perfectly complements the iconic colours of the Milan badge.

We’re big fans.
