Thousands dispute it but the Premier League insist all of their Premier League fixtures are fairly, and randomly, selected.
Sure, a programme may instruct the fixture generator not to put one team on the road for two months straight, but the process is supposed to be equitable enough.
Try tellng that to Liverpool fans, though.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have been give a teak tough start to 2016/17. They travel away to Arsenal for their opening fixture before newly-promoted Burnley provide light relief at Anfield.
What follows should define Liverpool’s league campaign. They travel to London to play Tottenham on August 27. Up next are Premier League champions Leicester City at Anfield on September 10, the same weekend that Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola meet in a Premier League fixture for the first time.
Then comes a trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

Manchester United come to Anfield on October 15 and they play the return fixture at Old Trafford on January 14. Their league run-in is handy enough, though, with no games against last season’s top five after mid-March.
