Manchester United fans are massively unimpressed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Dare to Zlatan? Not on this evidence

The word is that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be on a plane to Manchester as soon as Sweden are out of the Euros.

According to reports, the 34-year-old is on Jose Mourinho’s wishlist ahead of his first season at Old Trafford. With the stories refusing to die away, United fans have been keeping a keen eye on Zlatan’s performances at Euro 2016.

Against Ireland, he spent the majority of his time lurking in the depths of John O’Shea’s pocket. But with the Swedes trailing by a goal, Zlatan’s run into the area and cross-cum-shot was enough to force an own goal from Ciaran Clarke. Not all that impressive, but he was just warming up, wasn’t he? He’d be much better in the next match, right?

Wrong.

Against Italy in Toulouse, Zlatan was yet again uncharacteristically anonymous.

Those United supporters watching it weren’t all that impressed….

Supporters of rivals clubs seem pretty happy about it all though.

Thankfully from a United perspective, Ibrahimovic’s expiring Paris Saint-Germain contract means the club won’t be doing what they’ve done lots in the last couple of years and forking out a massively inflated transfer fee for the Swede.

That said, his weekly wages will more than likely be enough to keep the United faithful up at night. Especially if he continues his Euro 2016 form in England.
