They’re ready for it – are you?
It’s the biggest occasion in Welsh football history on Wednesday night, as Chris Coleman’s men prepare to take on Portugal in the Euro 2016 semi-final. Few could have believed they would have gotten this far when they got their qualification campaign underway just under two years ago.
Gareth Bale and co have already gone two better than their home nations rivals by making the semi-finals, and they know that a win over a Portugal team yet to claim victory in normal time at Euro 2016 will propel them to legendary status even faster.
If Wales can repeat the heroics of their quarter-final demolition of Belgium against Portugal on Wednesday night, then expect the whole nation to go on a bender of seismic proportions.
And the fans in France have already got the party going, as you can see from these supporters on the streets of Lyon passionately singing ‘Don’t Take Me Home’ the night before the showdown between Gareth Bale and Cristiano Roanldo.
Journalist Rob Harris shared the footage on Twitter on Tuesday night, and it’s enough to make even an Englishman cheer for Chris Coleman’s men. Well, almost.
Take a look.
