Remember Arthur?
If you were a kid in the ’90s who didn’t come home from school every day to watch a smartly-dressed cartoon aardvark and his best friend (a rabbit) refuse to take orders from their teacher (a rat), then you weren’t doing life properly.
Now we’re not suggesting that, given Arthur’s strange re-imagining of the social structures of the animal kingdom, we should be expecting it to conform to realism.
That said, an artistic oversight has been brought to our attention and we’re wondering how we never noticed it as a kid.
One keen-eyed observer recently pointed out that in some scenes Arthur can be seen wearing headphones while playing the piano. But it wasn’t the fact that an animal you’d typically find burying its nose in a pile of mud was listening to music that they had an issue with.
Arthur wore the headphones in the same position a human would, despite his ears being on top of his head. Basically, it doesn’t matter how fire his mixtapes are – he’s never going to hear anything if he wears his cans like that.

It wasn’t just Arthur that totally misunderstood the concept of headphones though.
As another Twitter user pointed out, his whole family was at it.

There were plenty of theories about what could be going on.

@Alasdair_CM They're Bluetooth and they use resonance of the jawbone, and they're wired to the desk to prevent theft.

Arthur has tiny earholes on the side. The nubs at top are excessive flesh

But at the end of the day, as one Tweeter pointed out, we should probably just let any abnormalities in the Arthur universe slide.
@myhairisblue this is also the same show where Arthur had a dog as a neighbor but also a pet so… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Well said.
