Instead of basking in the sunshine on the warmest day of the year so far, many Manchester United fans were spending their Tuesday studying a fresh wave of Paul Pogba news.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month, you’ll know that the Juventus midfielder has been the subject of plenty of speculation linking him with a return to Old Trafford, the club at which he spent the majority of his youth career.
Reports in Italy indicated that United were on the brink of tabling their first world transfer-shattering bid for the 23-year old. Others went as far as suggesting that Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, was in Manchester for a Pogba-related meeting.
But it didn’t take United supporters long to spot an obvious conflict in the reports about Raiola’s whereabouts…
The only confusing part of today's stories is that how can Raiola be in Manchester 'finalising the deal' but then meeting with Juve today?

But a matter of hours later, Raiola himself confirmed what many already suspected.
“All of what you read is bullshit,” he told Goal. “That’s all there is.”
Does that mean reports of a bid being tabled are also wide of the mark? To be honest, we have no idea any more. All we do know is that the Paul Pogba saga isn’t likely to end any time soon.
