EA Sports appear to leak – then delete – beautiful new Manchester United kit

Someone may be in trouble tonight after appearing to leak Manchester United’s new kit for the 2016/17 season on the EA Sports website.

The sports video game behemoths announced on Thursday that Lionel Messi’s reign as Fifa cover star has come to an end after being replaced by Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus for the upcoming Fifa 17 release.

However, that almost definitely won’t be the biggest story from the announcement as it looks like someone made a bit of a cock-up and prematurely revealed the new Red Devils kit to the world.

If you go to the EA Sports website, you won’t see the kit. Instead, you’ll see United starlet Anthony Martial donning last season’s jersey (see below).

However, prior to this, there was a different photo of the Frenchman wearing a different United jersey on the site.

Judging by previous leaks, it’s their new home kit for the next campaign, and it’s a pretty tasty number.

And it looks very similar to the kit accidentally shared by Martial himself (or possibly by his social media team) when votes were being cast for the cover of the new game.
