Jose Mourinho has been doing everything right thus far.
He’s speaking about turning Manchester United around after a forgettable three seasons, he’s become a massive selling point for talented players considering moves to the Premier League and he’s winning his new fans over in some style.
Having already secured the signatures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, it appears that Paul Pogba will be the next man to walk through the doors at Carrington.
Mourinho is keen to prove that, despite the five years he spent as Chelsea boss, that he is solely focused on United now and returning his new club to former glories.
That became very clear on the Red Devils’ preseason tour of China when Mourinho was presented with a Chelsea shirt by a Blues fan in Shanghai.
As he made his way through the throng of supporters, flashing his signature on anything red, Mourinho was faced with the blue jersey of his former employer.
A categorical shake of the head (and some stifled laughter) was enough to let the ambitious supporter in question know that the Chelsea shirt would remain Mourinho-less.
