Is this adidas tweet the final proof that Paul Pogba to Manchester United is off?

It doesn't look good...

Look Paul, you can end all this quite easily.

All you need to do is come out and say precisely what your intentions are. Are you going to Manchester United? Are you off to Real Madrid? Maybe you’re just staying put in Turin?

Whatever it is, do us all a favour and just let us know for crying out loud.

There’s a sense that Mr Pogba is thoroughly enjoying the speculation surrounding his future. He’s barely said a damn thing about it all summer, although he’s still managed to break away from playing basketball with Romelu Lukaku and dossing about in a Miami swimming pool with his agent for just about long enough to squeeze out the following cryptic Instagram post.

En disant rien on a tout dis ?? we say it all by saying nothing at all #holidays

On Wednesday morning, there was a fresh wave of newspaper reports suggesting that his move to Manchester United was close. Italian media outlets went as far as saying it was ‘a question of hours’ following Gonzalo Higuain’s big money move to Juventus.

But just hours later, a tweet from adidas appears to have poured yet another barrel of cold water on the rumours.

Pogba appears in the video attached to the tweet, reading newspaper with a headline appearing to reference a tweet made by Mino Raiola (his agent) last week…

“Don’t believe everything you read in the papers,” a smiling Pogba says.

So it’s all bullshit then? Who the hell knows anymore?
