Manchester United name seriously strong team for Wayne Rooney’s testimonial

The stars are out tonight

Wayne Rooney is set to mark 12 years of service for the Red Devils with a friendly against Everton.

Manchester United have named a very strong team for the game with new boys Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly making the starting XI.

The friendly will mark United’s last game ahead of the Community Shield clash with Leicester City at Wembley on Sunday and it appears as though they’re using the opportunity to give some of the stars such as Anthony Martial and Ander Herrera a run-out before the start of the campaign.

United also have a deep bench to call upon with Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata named among the substitutes.

Youngster Luke Shaw also starts as he continues his recovery from that horrific leg break that saw him miss most of last season.
