At fucking last.
The most tedious transfer saga of the summer is nearly over. It’s had more twists and turns that your average Eastenders script but mercifully, Paul Pogba’s return to Manchester United is nearly completion.
Both La Gazzetta dello Sport and L’Equipe reported that the French international flew into Manchester last night for a secret medical, and many scoffed, assuming it was just another bollocks update with no substance.
But things have moved along quickly, and now Juventus officials have confirmed to reporters present at their game with West Ham United that they have indeed given the player permission to have a medical with United.
It will come as a great relief to nearly everyone once this blasted deal is done and dusted. We all knew it was in the pipeline ages ago, but it has lingered like particularly unpleasant fart – only more irritating.
