It’s finally here. It’s finally fucking here.
Forget the opening weekend of matches, or even the second weekend of matches after that. It’s all bullshit. This is where the season starts, with the Champions League group stages draw.
There were some tasty ties thrown up in Monaco, with Pep Guardiola being forced to bring his new Manchester City team to the Nou Camp to take on Barcelona, while Real Madrid and Bayern Munich temporarily swapped rivals as they were drawn against Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Leicester City were rewarded for topping the Premier League table as they took a top seed, but in the battle for North London things weren’t so straight forward.
Arsenal will face a potential big gun in Paris Saint-Germain, while Spurs managed to avoid anyone too tricky despite coming into the draw as third seeds.
Of course, Arsenal fans weren’t going to let such an easy draw pass them by.
In their absence, it appears Sp*rs have picked up Chelsea's traditional incredibly easy Champion's League group stage draw.

Sp*rs in an 'easy' group ffs

There were those who wondered why Spurs had been ranked so low…
How comes sp*rs are only in pot 3 when they finished above Arsenal last seas….

And they were already dialling up the pressure on their neighbours to perform…

Did Sp*rs qualify for the Champions League or Europa League?🤔 pic.twitter.com/YMJVIwk6mS

If I were Spurs I'd be livid, there once every 5 year CL run and they're still stuck in the Europa League

Very generous of UEFA to draw Spurs alongside other Europa League teams

And they were taking the piss out of Spurs’ move to Wembley for the tournament…
Spurs hired out Wembley for a Europa League group 😢

Spurs' Champions League home ground downgraded to Wembley Arena.

Ahead of Spurs playing CL games there, seems apt to mention their top scorer at Wembley is Own Goals (3).

But Spurs fans did have a point when it came to Gunners dismissing the quality of Tottenham’s Group E rivals…
