It seems that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has a different definition of the word “legend” than the rest of us.
Chamberlain was one of a host of Arsenal players on duty at a supporters’ event at the weekend during the Gunners’ pre-season tour of Singapore.
Often these things can be as banal and bland as a post-match interview, but the Ox provided plenty of laughs for everyone present when asked to name one Arsenal legend from the past that he would like to have as a teammate in the current Arsenal squad.
He did not go for Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, or even Tony Adams, instead dropping the name of a recently-departed player arguably better known for what he did off the pitch rather than on it.
Chamberlain when asked which Arsenal legend he'd like to play with. His response was…unexpected. #afc pic.twitter.com/AjnDveVv32
