It wasn’t much of a friendly after all…
A number of Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt fans spent the night in police custody after a brawl broke out following a friendly between the two clubs.
The match in Austria ended 2-1 to Frankfurt, but at full-time fans were more interested in beating seven shades out of each other than shaking hands and moving on to the next pre-season test.
The players had already left the pitch, but various reports suggest the majority of those involved were Leeds fans who were allegedly incensed after a club flag was torn up by their rivals.
