Theo Walcott takes the piss out of himself and Mesut Ozil in cheeky post-match interview

Check out the archbishop of Banterbury over there.

Life is looking pretty good for Arsenal at the moment.

They have been going like a train in the league, and last night they hit Bulgarian side Ludogorets for six without reply in their Champions League match at the Emirates.

The result means they have now won seven games on the bounce in all competitions and leaves them sitting pretty at the top of Group A in Europe.

Even the much-maligned Theo Walcott has been scoring goals- eight already this season, which is just one shy of his tally for the whole of last term, and more than he managed in either of the previous two seasons.

All that put the England man in a jovial mood as he spoke to reporters after the match last night.

He was asked about Mesut Ozil, who grabbed a second half hat-trick against Ludogorets, his goals coming in the 56th, 83rd and 87th minute.

“First half he wasn’t around though was he?!” Walcott replied with a smile.

Walcott got one on the night but he could – and should – have had at least a hat-trick of his own on Saturday when Arsenal beat Swansea 3-2. He grabbed a brace, but had two gilt-edged opportunities to wrap up the treble, but missed them both – a fact he alluded to as he eulogised about Ozil.

He’s a fantastic professional. Fantastic player. I think it’s the second hat-trick he’s scored and how easy he did it tonight – he showed me how to score a hat trick anyway,” he joked, showing he’s not just a good football player, he’s also great at #BANTZ with his team-mates.
