The words “entertainment value” and “West Brom” don’t tend to go hand-in-hand all that often.
Tony Pulis has worked his Tony Pulis magic on the Baggies and, for the most part, they get by with disciplined defensive work and well-drilled set pieces.
Those things have been trademarks of Pulis’ game for years and neither exactly lend themselves to champagne football.
The defensive frustration of opposition attackers so often at play at the Hawthorns wasn’t exactly on show on Saturday when West Brom were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City.
Unable to even find solace in their typically efficient gameplan, with Sergio Agüero scoring twice before half-time and teammate İlkay Gündoğan adding two goals of his own late on, Baggies supporters had to make their own fun this weekend.
As they struggled to cope with City’s possession-heavy game, the fans in the stands broke out a chant for the ages.
Genuinely funny from the WBA fans. Singing "we've got the ball" when in possession then switching to "we've lost the ball" when City have it pic.twitter.com/EljghHyhri

“We’ve got the ball,” they’d happily yell during the 32 percent of the game in which they found themselves in possession.
When they inevitably were dispossessed, “We’ve lost the ball,” would promptly follow.
It’s simple, it’s straightforward and it gave us plenty of chuckles.
