Coronavirus: Government’s botched handling must have consequences

JOE

We need an immediate inquiry into the government’s failure

Britain now has the highest Covid-19 death rate in the world, with more than 59,000 excess deaths.

While other nations acted swiftly to halt the spread of coronavirus, Boris Johnson’s Conservative government twiddled their thumbs, and wasted precious time that would have saved lives.

Johnson and his ministers even now continue to speak of their successes and a job well done in fighting coronavirus, when in truth only the United States has had a response that comes anywhere close in its incompetency.

For the victims, their families, and the country, we need an immediate inquiry into how the government botched their response to this crisis.
