Ant McPartlin is expected to be back on our screens this weekend.
His arrest for drink driving last month saw him miss the recent live recordings of And and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, leaving Declan Donnelly to present the final shows in the series on his own.
This weekend sees return of Britain’s Got Talent, a show on which Ant and Dec have appeared for years.
Ant is expected not to be part of the live semi-final shows, which are scheduled to be aired in late May, though he is expected to appear in the shows which cover the audition rounds – the first of which airs on Saturday.
Recording of the auditions took place prior to Ant’s arrest, meaning viewers should be able to see him back alongside Dec for the weeks ahead.
We’ve already learned that Ant is reduced to tears as he watched on from the side of the stage during one of the performances due to air on Saturday, although the rest of the show is said to be largely upbeat.
As reported by The Sun, Ant’s publicist has indicated he will be stepping down from TV commitments for the “foreseeable future”.
Britain’s Got Talent will air Saturday 14 April, 8pm on ITV.
