Channel 5 confirm the transcript of Christopher Biggins making nazi joke is a fake

Not real quotes

There have been plenty of rumours flying around about TV star Christopher Biggins since his sudden removal from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The 67-year-old Oldham-born actor was told to leave the house before Friday night’s eviction show took place, after he made comments that were, according to Channel 5, ‘capable of causing great offence to housemates’.

It’s still unclear as to what exactly Biggins said that producers of the show felt they had to pull him out, but it was reported that he may have made a crude and derogatory joke about Nazi concentration camps in the company of Jewish housemate Katie Waissel.

These accusations only intensified when a supposed transcript of the conversation surfaced on Twitter via a Celebrity Big Brother Twitter fan page.

The conversation, according to the transcript, ended with Waissel in floods of tears at the remarks.

However, a Channel 5 spokesperson has moved quickly to dismiss the quotes as entirely false. There has still been no confirmation of what was said, but the transcript should not be taken as evidence of why the former I’m a Celebrity winner was kicked out.

Channel 5 told Metro.co.uk: “We can confirm that a transcript claiming to relate to Christopher Biggins’ removal from the CBB house is 100% fake.”

This was reiterated by the programme’s Twitter account.

Viewers can find out for themselves what happened when Celebrity Big Brother airs on Channel 5 at 9pm tonight.
