You didn’t see it coming, did you. ‘Twas all a ruse mon ami. Hayley has, this whole damn time, been operating as secret agent Slater on behalf of her dear cousin Stacey.
Albert Square fans were stunned by the big reveal in Tuesday’s episode.
Hayley had spent the day with Martin and the kids, the perfect picture of a broken home reconstructing. And then she convinced him to keep them past the agreed time, the conniving little witch!
Stacey took the rational decision to then call the police who a) have nothing better to do and b) have nothing better to do. It’s not like he could have been snowed in or something.
The big reveal followed.
Hayley arrived on Stacey’s doorstep, gave her a big hug and the game away.
“Done good didn’t I,” she said before warning Stacey not to “go soft.”
Viewers were outraged when they realised Stacey, who cheated on Max, was playing dirty to get custody of the kids.
