According to Enterainment Weekly, Ed Sheeran is to make a guest appearance in Game of Thrones season seven. Which is pretty fucking huge.
Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss announced the news at the South by Southwest film festival this weekend. We wonder if they’ll get him to ‘Sing’? Or if he’ll die violently and we’ll get to see his ‘Bloodstream’?
Okay, okay… we’ll stop it now.
For the moment, there’s little in the way of clues as to what role Sheeran will play in the show, but the news is likely to persuade even more people to tune in.
As well as this, it was also confirmed that the eighth and final season of GoT would be just six episodes long.
