Eminem’s ‘Fack’ has gone viral and people are just realising how messed up the lyrics are

Wayne Farry

Quite the lyricist

The internet, and TikTok in particular, is a strange police. It’s pretty self-contained, existing in its own peculiar place online and in the minds of its users.

A common occurrence on the site is for a random song to start trending as part of a wider trend on the site. One example is the Silhouette Challenge, which did the rounds a while back, and which actually featured a song which was a remix of two songs: ‘Put Your Head On My Shoulder’ by Paul Anka, and ‘Streets’ by Doja Cat.

The point here is that songs trend, and often people on the site don’t really consider what’s actually being said in that song. And why would they?

Well, in this instance, with a 2005 Eminem song called ‘Fack’, Gen Z users on the site have actually started listening to the lyrics, and are stunned by what they are hearing.

Not one of the rapper’s true hits, ‘Fack’ might be new to a lot of people. Indeed, if you hear it, you’d be forgiven for thinking that it’s in fact a parody of Eminem, so reductive is it.

Here’s how the song, which is about having sex, goes.

Owwww, owwww, owwww (Oh, God damn)
I’m gonna f***ing c** (Oh, s***)
Fack, fack, fack (F***, I am)
I am, I’m going to c** (I’m cu***ng)

In his next batch of lyrical genius, Eminem later says he wants to have a ‘three-way’ with your sister, before insisting that he’s not gay because he likes ‘boobs, boobs, boobs’.

There’s also a bit that includes a gerbil. And well, yeah. We’re not going to go into any more detail on that part.

Really makes you think, doesn’t it?

Well, it has made a lot of social media users think – and they appear to mostly be thinking ‘What the fuck?’ – which is fair enough.

If you want to listen to the song, here you go. It goes without saying that it does, indeed, contain explicit content.
