Warner Bros has released a first look image of Ryan Gosling as Ken for the upcoming Barbie movie also starring Margot Robbie.
In all their divine wisdom, Warner Bros cast Ryan Gosling, 41, as Barbie’s famed boyfriend, Ken. The movie studio treated fans to a sneak peek of Gosling, fully decked out in his Ken gear, on their official Twitter page.
“#BARBIE. July 21, 2023. Only in theaters,” they wrote alongside a singular image.

The La La Land actor has platinum blonde hair, a tan fit for Love Island and even a pair of boxers with his name printed, similar to Calvin Klein’s. Ken is wearing double denim in the shot, but his shirt seems to be missing, not that fans in the comments seemed to care.
Since posting on June 15, the post has received nearly 20k likes and thousands of quote tweets from eager fans.

“It’s giving beam me up soft boi,” wrote one fan, while another said, “The DRIVE sequel we don’t deserve.”
“This ken drinks cold brew and films the Barbie vlogs,” another person suggested.
Someone else quipped: “You know this poor fucking guy is just praying for the day he won’t have to have abs anymore.”
He looks like a dumb slut (complimentary), I love it. https://t.co/jr47yI64gC

But not everyone is sold, and one person suggested Ken looks more like a porn actor than a popular doll. Others compared the character to Harry Potter’s Draco Malfoy.
Gosling will star alongside Margot Robbie as the titular character.

The rest of the cast is just as prominent, with numerous actors playing the part of Ken. Marvel’s Simu Liu and the upcoming Doctor who, Ncuti Gatwa, are both set to portray a different version of the historic toy.
Emma Mackey, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Alexandra Shipp, and Issa Rae also star.
