Fans were not impressed by another weird storyline on last night’s ‘EastEnders’

Huge drama on the Square...or not

EastEnders is really hitting fans with the hard-hitting storylines of late.

Last week, we had the nerve-wracking plot about a row over recycling bins.

Then, in last night’s episode, there was a plot about…a parking fine.

Yes, that’s right: the story revolved around Kim Fox getting a summons for illegal parking in bus lanes and disabled spots – having stolen Donna’s permit – and her partner Vincent discovering the news.

Riveting stuff, eh?

Sure enough, frustrated soap fans were quick to pile in with sneers and abuse:

Others tried to see the lighter side of the intense plot twist:

This fan raised a very good point:

It’s a trying time to be an EastEnders fan: over the last few days, details emerged of the plans to permanently write Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell out of the show.

It’s plainly obvious that the writers are using the parking fine drama to distract fans from contemplating what a big loss the sisters would be to Albert Square.

Stay strong, guys.
