The first teaser trailer for Borat 2 has been released, and he is causing as much chaos as you would expect.
The full trailer is released tomorrow, but the 45-second teaser is pretty hilarious on its own.
It features Borat trying to do promo for his film on a greenscreen, and completely failing to understand how that works.
We also get a few brief clips of the film itself, including Borat also trying to kill what we think is COVID with a frying pan and magnifying glass.
It is all set to a unique cover of Eminem’s ‘Without Me’.
It has been confirmed that Amazon has picked up the film for worldwide distribution for the film, and will be available on Amazon Prime Video in late October.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the title of the sequel will be Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan.
The film was made in secret earlier this year, with details only slowly starting to emerge.
According to Collider, the film finds Borat “thinking he’s a big movie star after the success of the original 2006 film made him famous, so he’s trying to hide from the public by pretending to be someone else, and starts meeting and interviewing people incognito.”
Deadline also reports that Sacha Baron Cohen had to wear a bulletproof vest for two days of shooting, as his undercover filming put him in genuine danger.
Several videos have also been captured of what looks like Cohen filming in character, including him singing a COVID song at a far-right event, and driving down an LA street.
