Depp might finally be getting answers
The Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard story has raged for what seems like decades, with both parties taking the other to court. After various UK news outlets slated Depp for domestic abuse, it was later revealed that it was in fact the other way round. Now, a New York judge has ruled that Heard must reveal whether she donated her divorce settlement as promised, the Independent reports.

Amber Heard, most known for her starring role in Aquaman, promised to donate her $7m (£5m) divorce settlement to the American Civil Liberties Union and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. But Andrew Caldecott, Depp’s lawyer, has argued that the promise was “a calculated and manipulative lie” that “tipped the scales against Mr Depp from the very beginning”.
Giving evidence in a statement dated 26 February, Heard stated: “I remained financially independent from him [Depp] the whole time we were together and the entire amount of my divorce settlement was donated to charity.”
American Civil Liberties Union is now legally obligated to release the information, confirming whether or not Heard followed through on her pledge.

After a petition to have Heard removed from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom reached over a million signatures, the producer responded to the demand.
Producer Peter Safran said:
“I don’t think we’re ever going to react to, honestly, pure fan pressure,” said Safran. “You gotta do what’s best for the movie. We felt that if it’s James Wan, and Jason Momoa, it should be Amber Heard. That’s really what it was.
“One is not unaware of what is going on in the Twitter-verse, but that doesn’t mean you have to react to it or take it as gospel or accede to their wishes. You have to do what’s right for the film, and that’s really where we landed on it.”
