Will he be a John Wick action figure?
Toy Story 4 is finally on its way, after many years of behind the scenes troubles.
And last week, we got the first two trailers, introducing several new characters – one debuting Forky, voiced by Arrested Development’s Tony Hale; the other featuring Ducky and Bunny, played by Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael-Key.
There is another big name in the voice cast though that we have just found out about – Keanu Reeves.
Yes, Neo, John Wick, Theodore “Ted” Logan, the dude from Speed himselfis going to join Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
Tim Allen was interviewed by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, and he let slip that Kean Reeves is going to be in the film.
Other than that, we have no details about who he could be playing. But surely you don’t cast someone as big as Keanu in a small role without having an amazing part for him.
The synopsis for Toy Story 4 reads:
“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”
Toy Story 4 is directed by Josh Cooley, written by Stephany Folsom, and story written by Disney Pixar legends John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich.
As well as Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, all the familiar voice cast return alongside Keanu Reeves, including
Joan Cusack as Jessie, Wallace Shawn as Rex, John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Michael Keaton as Ken, Kristen Schaal as Trixie and Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants.
Toy Story 4 is due in cinemas in summer 2019. And we’re almost certain it will be another masterpiece.
