Have you got the swagger and the voice?
The producers of a new movie telling the story of Creation Records have announced an open call for actors to play Liam Gallagher.
Creation Stories is based on the autobiography of Alan McGee, Riots, Raves and Running a Record Label: The Story of Creation Records, and will chronicle the life of the man who helped launch The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, Oasis, and The Libertines.
That’s quite a list of iconic real-life figures to be recreating on-screen. And to find someone up to the task of portraying Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, Burning Wheel Productions and Dan Hubbard Casting have put out an open casting call.
They are looking for a male aged 18-23, and want “more than just a haircut and a parka.”
In order to apply, they are asking for potential Liams to self-tape an audition using the dialogue from the video below from 0:47.
Videos should then be sent to IWANTTOBELIAM@gmail.com by 6pm Friday, May 31st.
Creation Stories comes from an all-star team. The screenplay is by Trainspotting‘s Irvine Welsh, and it will be directed by Nick Moran and Exec Produced by Danny Boyle.
Confirmed members of the cast include Rupert Everett, Jason Flemyng, Suki Waterhouse and Ewen Bremner, who will be playing Alan McGee.
