This would be pretty amazing if it is true
Rumours are circulating that a very big name is set to make an appearance in Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw as a surprise villain.
You might remember that at the end of Fast & Furious 6, Jason Statham made an unannounced appearance in during the end credits, revealing him to be the brother of that movie’s villain Luke Evans, and setting him up to be the antagonist of part seven.
It was a pretty great moment, especially if you didn’t know it was coming. It, of course, lead to Statham’s Deckard Shaw as part of the F&F crew, and now the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off movie.
And now, it looks like Hobbs & Shaw could be pulling a similar trick.
***POTENTIAL SPOILERS FROM HERE ON IN***
Idris Elba is playing the bad guy in that film, we know that.
But according to a rumour on That Hashtag Show, a big name and iconic action star in his own right will be revealed late in the film to be the mastermind behind it all.
And that name?
Keanu Reeves.
Yes, John Wick himself could be joining the Fast & Furious franchise.
That Hashtag Show goes on to say:
It’s possible, according to the source, that Reeves’ character will be revealed towards the end of the movie. Alternatively, he could appear in an end-credits scene to set up the sequel we all know will be coming.
Whatever happens, Hoobs & Shaw already looks like the most important movie of 2019.
This film has literally everything: The Rock. Jason Statham. Idris Elba. Flamethrowers. Helicopters. Helen Mirren. WWE superstar Roman Reigns. The Rock and Jason Statham in a fighter pilot. Slow motion shoot-outs. Idris Elba punching The Rock while being punched by Jason Statham.
