Avengers Assemble
Samuel L Jackson has posted images of himself getting a coronavirus vaccine, and he was wearing an Avengers mask when he got it done.
On Saturday, Jackson posted a photo of him arriving at The Forum in LA, along with a selfie wearing a mask with little cartoon versions of Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Nick Fury on it.

The vaccination site in LA is offering jabs to those 65 and older, and at 72 years old, Jackson was eligible for one.
Samuel L Jackson of course plays Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He first appeared in the surprise post-credit seven of Iron Man, telling Tony Stark that he was not “the only superhero in the world” and inviting him to the Avengers Initiative.
He has gone on to appear in ten more MCU movies, including The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and a major supporting role in Captain Marvel, where he was digitally de-aged to look like he did in the 1990s. He also made several appearances in the Agents of SHIELD TV show.
The character of Nick Fury was originally created in the 1960s, but in 2001 he was redesigned to look like Samuel L Jackson in Marvel’s Ultimate Universe – so it was only fitting that the real Jackson play him in the movies. Plus, Nick Fury was previously played in a TV movie by none other than David Hasselhoff, so we are going to say that Samuel L Jackson is a definite step up from that.
Other celebs that have shared stories of getting the jab on social media include Steve Martin, Ian McKellen, Brian Blessed and Prue Leith.
Good news/Bad news. Good news: I just got vaccinated! Bad news: I got it because I’m 75. Ha! The operation in NYC was smooth as silk (sorry about the cliché @BCDreyer!) and hosted to perfection by the US Army and National Guard. Thank you all, and thank you science.

‘I really hope that, as more people get vaccinated, we will move further along the path back to a more normal way of life.’
